The place they were given to sleep was… lackluster, to put it nicely. A room on the outskirts of the facility, broken down and dripping from old pipes. It had been barely big enough for Mary and Mintee to squeeze into, and Oboe had to roost among the rafters. And on top of all that, a guard had been stationed outside of their room. The trip through the jungle was exhausting. Mud was everywhere, the ground constantly damp no matter where one put themselves. Sometimes the ground underneath them would suddently shift to soft sand, almost causing one of the larger parasaurs to loose their footing and fall. And above all, the plants were a huge obstacle. The tunnels beneath the islands were, as you would imagine, damp. Mary shuddered as she pushed through the humid air, shaking her feathers out as they curled even more than usual.
