Paying Tribute ( Karma Quest for : Mary , Oboe & Flurry )- Spyre

“Come on we gotta find a way to bribe the court and I think I overheard them speak about jewels and how they liked them, we have to get some and we can give it to the them” Mary said as she swayed back and forth looking through some rubble and dirt hoping it would have some hidden gems they could collect and she had a few friends joining her and that was a small tapjera and a large albertosaurs who went by the name of Flurry, they had wanted to join her in their search and pay tribute to the court so they were welcome and on better terms with the large and harsh herbivores.

“I am surprised we haven’t been killed yet and this should smooth things over I believe” Flurry said sniffing the ground and keeping a keen eye out for anything shiny in which she spotted a large blue gem just hidden under some compact dirt but with a bit of movement she grabbed it and held in her jaws before showing Oboe and Mary who nodded in amazement now the other two wanting to find some more jewels.

“Good find Flurry! We just need to find some more I don’t think one will be enough” Mary said as she leaned down moving her feet to uncover more and various other gems which they would gift to the court in hopes the iggys would like them and accept the gift but only having a few wouldn’t get them far so it was a start as Mary had said earlier. Up above small wing flaps echoed as Oboe had some goodluck finding some jewels, she dropped them below in front of Mary who was pushing some more into the pile they had gathered so far some of them were hefty so it was a lot for the small Taperja but she was making due.

“These are all so pretty no wonder the court like to keep them, I wanna take some back with us when we leave this place” Oboe said as she landed flapping out her wings to stretch which she turned her beak towards Flurry who placed a much larger jewel down and stood up before laughing softly “ Yeah those guys are scary so maybe getting on their side is the smartest idea we have come up with” shaking out her feathered coat and watching Mary approach them swaying her tail back and forth as she snorted.

“Well the faster we get on their good side the easier it will be to explore around here, and you two seem to have found a good amount” Mary said as she looked down at the large pile that sparked in the light that beat down on them with the vibrant colors and dense. It would be getting late and the small group decided it was time to take their findings and gift it to the court as who knew if they would accept the various jewels but Mary, Flurry and Oboe could only hope they would like it.

Flurry sat down as she watched Oboe land next to the jewels and waited for instructions from Mary who was lost in thought trying to figure out how to present the large jewels so they looked appealing and so the court would love them, but she had an idea as she walked past Flurry grabbing some old cloth that sat on the ground from old camps that the court had set up around.

“This should dress them up a bit here you two, wrap it around the gems” Mary said tossing some other cloth pieces at Flurry and Oboe which were in different colors but they were deep and vibrant in which Flurry grabbed it in her jaws wrapping it carefully around the base of the gem pile, Oboe was next as she draped it over the jewels and stepped back “Think this is enough they have to like them and if they don’t we are keeping it” she said laughing and taking off ready to deliver the jewels to the court being eager to see what their reaction would be.

“Well let’s go see what the court says” Flurry said grumbling and getting up as she picked up one side of the cloth and waited for Mary to grab the other as they began to make their way to the courts domain which would be entrance that had to large iggy guards standing at each side as they watched the small group approach as they were at the ready one stepping forwards.

“What brings you here and what is this you bring?” one asked roughly, taking a look over the large jewels, but was pushed past by another large iggy who came through the doors and looked down at Flurry , Oboe and Mary.

“Oh boy here we go.. This one looks like it means business” Oboe said landing on Flurry’s back in which Flurry nodded waiting for the iggy to say something else but Mary butted in quickly “ We brought these as tribute for the court in hopes to show some respect and understanding” Mary said before stepping back and snorting which the large iggy nodded in understanding what the three were doing here.

“Well these seem to be some fine jewels and friendship seems like an option we can explore since you three have brought such a great gift” the iggy said telling the guards to take the jewels from Flurry who gently placed the jewels down for them to grab and take into the domain.

“Well lets start this off as a great friendship and understanding of respect” the iggy said proudly holding a jewel in his claws before heading into the domain and motioning for the three to follow, it seemed the court had accepted their tribute to them and would be on good terms with the three outsiders from the upper world. Flurry looked back and sighed before catching up to Mary who was overjoyed and talking to the court iggy member.

“Come on Flurry let’s stick to them, we don’t want to get lost here” Oboe said flying ahead which had Flurry nod and trot to keep up, guess giving some giant herbivores jewels was a way to get on their good side.

“Oh boy can’t wait” Flurry said before catching up to the rest.
