5739: Speckles

Speckles is a motherly figure, she will without hesitation adopt any unattended youngster regardless of species. She has many babies of her own, some of which hung around for longer than others, from her first clutch Powder (6128) is the only one of her children that have stayed in her territory. Despite their mothers warm love, all offspring leave the nest eventually and Speckles’s territory was not large or abundant enough to support her whole family. 

Speckles remains in contact with many of her children and they will still come to visit or vice versa from time to time. She has also adopted a Carno she found lost and afraid in Atlantis, Haze (6136) was found when he was a juvenile, having lost his pack he latched on to Speckles and now lives in her territory with her and Powder. Another youngster she adopted was Whisp (5820),
