Shape and Placement

  • Het form can only create small rosettes.
-- Hom form allows rosettes to be larger in size.
  • Rosettes must have "trailing" smaller spots as they approach the head, legs and belly.
  • Trailing rosette spots can be regular spots, but not too clustered or mimic Freckled. A few spots throughout the design is fine.
  • Rosettes can fade at the edges.

Color

  • Both forms may have an optional second color inside the rosettes.
-- Does not need to be applied to every rosette on the dinosaur, a mix is allowed.
  • Hom form may have a two-toned gradient on both the inner and outer part of the rosettes.
  • Can be any natural color.
  • Can be affected by color modifiers.

Allowed Edge Types

Rosette is allowed one edge type from the below options - a guide to each edge type can be found by clicking on the images

Hard
Feathered
Optional Fade

Examples

Het Rosettes presenting filled in spots.

Hom Rosette with a two-toned gradient for the inner color.

Het Rosette presenting as minimally as possible with a fade.

This is an example of Rosette with trailing spots; the Rosettes get gradually smaller, fading into a few spots.

This is an incorrect example of Rosette with trailing spots. Here the rosettes do not get gradually smaller and instead just turn into small spots.

If fading, all edges on the outside of each cluster should fully fade into the base! This looks more like a hom two-toned gradient.
