Shape and Placement

  • This marking cannot create complex patterns or shapes.
  • This marking cannot have have holes in it.
  • You may, however, add a maximum of ONE vertical break in the marking.
    -- This marking can be composed of two big parts but they must look like they're part of the same marking, they can't have completely different shapes.
  • This marking cannot mimic other markings.

Color

  • Het form must be one solid color.
  • Hom form can be two-toned with a gradient.
  • Can be any natural color.
  • Can be affected by color modifiers.

This is an example of Het Cover being darker than the base coat.


This is an example of Het Cover being lighter than the base coat and displaying a slight pattern.


This example is incorrect because the edge of Cover is feathered instead of a gradient edge! It would need to be more blended!


This example is incorrect because Cover can only have one break in it and it cannot form "patches" or spots!


This marking is incorrect because Cover cannot have holes in it (stripe down the spine, spots on the thigh, and one on the neck) and it also cannot form patterns along the edge!

 

This Cover is blended enough on the tail but not on the body.


This Cover is illegal because it has two breaks instead of only one!


This Cover is illegal because it's not blended enough!


This Cover is illegal because it's not equally blended everywhere! It looks like a feathered edge with a fade.
