Shape and Placement
- Roan is a marking that must have low opacity, it can never be opaque.
- Can feature "cornspots" - small, sparse holes or dark spots, never purely round.
- Can have a "cloud-like" appearance.
Color
- Roan dilutes the colors below it, desaturating and lightening them.
-- Must always remain lighter than the colors it sits on top of, as it dilutes them. - Het form must be one solid color.
- Hom form can be two-toned with a gradient.
- Can be any natural color.
- Can be affected by color modifiers.
