Shape and Placement
- This marking must be present on at least two extremities/parts of the dinosaur
-- Front limbs, back limbs, head and tail are each one part. - This marking cannot form patterns.
- This marking cannot have holes in it.
Color
- This marking must be lighter than the base color.
- Het form must be one solid color.
- Hom form can be two-toned with a gradient.
-- Both colors must be lighter than the base color. - Can be any natural color.
- Can be affected by color modifiers.

Examples
This is an example of Het Fade being at its bare minimum of two parts
This is an example of Hom Fade covering all parts.
This is a correct example of Fade being under the feathers of the import!
This is an incorrect example of Fade cutting off at the feathers, because it does not touch the minimum areas of its range.
