Aftermath of Doomsday

Crisis Averted

Congratulations! You've conquered the Alpha Labs.

Nidhogg has been defeated, and with the tyrant gone, the explorers were able to tinker with the power generation sectors in the complex and the system stabilized. The radiation, chemical leaks, and pollution spread have all died down. Total apocalyse has been avoided. With time, the environment of Isla Pera will recover and flourish once more.

But there are a few loose ends to tie up.

For one- irradiation! It's up to you if you want to cure your dinosaur of their irradiation or not (iodine is here to stay, don't worry), but there may be more uses for irradiation someday in the future. No details yet, but let's just say- there will be both pros and cons for irradiated dinosaurs.

Additionally, you may still have tickets left over from this event that you weren't able to use. No problem- you can either keep those tickets as Doomsday trophies or you can sell them back from your inventory! They sell for 5 RB each.

Most dinosaurs have been scratching their heads over the Alpha Cryopods that littered the lab complex. Wonder no further! With the power system stabilized, the automatic locks on these pods have opened. You can now unseal your pods and discover what lies within.

You may just find something new in there!

There are still many event quests waiting to be processed, and we'll be doing our best this week to clear them all out! Please excuse delays as we work through the queues.

Quest corrections: all event quests have a 2 week time limit for corrections. This means that you must resubmit your corrections within the time limit for them to count for Doomsday prompts and loot. The 2 week countdown begins when a staff member responds to your original submission.

Submit corrections here.

By the Numbers

During Doomsday, we saw...

~10 weeks (a little over 2 months) (76 days)

2,032 Quests Rolled (approx. 26 a day!)

507 Imports Approved (approx. 6 a day!)

214 Albertosaurus

143 Dacentrurus

138 Acrocanthosaurus

3 Mutants (so far!)

(these stats are not exact, but close!)

And with that, Doomsday has ended.

We hope you had fun! We loved seeing all of your art, literature, and new designs, and we welcome our new members who joined us during Doomsday. We hope you continue to enjoy Primeval Age!

Other News and Updates

With the conclusion of this event, we'll be shifting focus back to other updates and coding projects. Our next big focus areas include adding built-in functionality for a varity of items and bringing the Newbie Egg Center to the site!

We've also made a couple of other updates recently!

- Backgrounds no longer need to be deleted from an import when applying a new background; they only need to be selected from the player inventory and applied, and will destroy and replace the old background

- Marking pass rates in breedings were all slightly buffed by a few % points for each rarity (this was updated back at chapter 4 release but forgotten in notes, sorry!)

We'll be taking a breather for awhile, but keep an eye out in December- I heard there may be something stirring for the holidays...

Small Warning

This isn't fun news, and we didn't want to post about it to avoid a callout, but several members of the group have been harassed already, so we'd like to just make a warning about this.

A user on deviantART by the name of "Caveman-Carly" has been commenting on profiles of PA members regarding members being "affiliated with unsavory groups". This user was banned from PA months ago after interacting with the group due the content on their profile (a "rules list" with blatant sexism, hostility towards minors, furries, etc.) This may be a troll account, and we don't want anything to do with them and chose not to allow them access to PA spaces. They have taken to harassing group members that they encounter.

Please do not interact with this user. We do not want to see people harassing them back or being hostile towards them. We recommend just blocking this account if you want to avoid getting any comments from them, or otherwise ignoring them.
