Somber is the son of the leader of The Rending Crest. He was raised as the strongest member through brutal training and independent patrols. On one of those patrols he meets Heron, his future mate. She brings out the side of him that had been buried under all that tough indifference and ego. He had grown soft, and because of that, by the time he was an adult, his father was killed. He was forced to take over his role, and abandoned any other emotion he once had with Heron. He is now the leader of The Rending Crest, a once normal pack turned into a savage cult.

Somber's usual personality is reserved, snarky, and straight-forward. He had low (visible) empathy and high endurance/focus. He's the most lethal of the pack. While he's not a manipulator, he's very silently bossy. He doesn't bark order, rather, he uses silent commands like tail swishes and tapping. The pack has mastered the element of stealth and stalking, and he's constantly controlling their every move. It can be quite exhausting though, there's a lot of adolescent rebels or stubborn cryos his age that can make his days awfully tiring when they talk shit behind his back. Before leadership however, Somber was a timid sweetheart, caring and thoughtful around Heron and Robin.
