He isn't one to peel away from family unless he has a task or mission at hand, like scouting or foraging.

Physical build:
Heavy and muscular with a wide stance.
Surprisingly agile, but runs out of stamina rather quick if he pushes himself.

Personality/History:
Riker often treats situations with a seriousness that borders on rigidity, making him slow to trust and even slower to forgive perceived threats. While not incapable of joking or enjoying lighter moments, especially during periods of calm, his stubborn streak and tendency to think in immediate terms rather than long strategy can sometimes clash with the more patient members of the herd. His good intentions are clear, even if his judgment occasionally falls short. Riker would rather act and face the consequences than stand idle and risk harm to his own.

Relationships:
Riker shares mutual understanding with Gwenn, founded on shared values of loyalty and strength. They aren't exactly friends, but he respects her resilience and views her willingness to protect others as a vital part of what the herd should be.
Though he sometimes finds her openness toward certain carnivores frustratingly naive, he trusts her heart enough to not openly challenge her decisions. The second Raze acts out of line, he's the first to take action.

Among the herd’s elders and established leaders, Riker is seen as promising but rough around the edges. A future leader in the making, if only he can learn to control his temper.
Toward strangers, especially predators, his demeanor is cold at best, and outright confrontational if he senses danger.
