Volcanic Beach

Much of Pera's coast is comprised of rocky volcanic beaches, especially on the western and southern sides. Beaches of black sand dominate most of the coastline, broken up only by areas of rough rocks, cliffs, and tidepools. Near the Ashlands, lava flows meet the ocean.
