Context: A lone hatchling Ponsuke (lacking the dimorphic markings on his tail due to still being young) has to figure out how to feed himself- unable to take down larger prey, he learns that despite being rather difficult to crack into, mussels and other shellfish contain good meat inside! He’s broken open a few, but he’s struggling a bit with this one- it still takes a lot of effort to get them open.
