context: on a winter night, posy was having trouble falling asleep when a white nomad lion about his age approached him & started talking to him, catching him off guard. you can tell it's winter cuz the bushes & tree are dead. posy is being depicted as an adolescent here, so his dimorphs are not done developing, appearing faded in the case of his arm spots & darker in the case of his horns.
