Semi Custom Guide

This guide covers how semi customs work in Primeval Age, including how to acquire semi customs and how to redeem them.

Obtaining a Semi Custom

To obtain a semi custom, you must purchase one from us during a sale. We open sales every 1-2 years for a period of a few weeks to a month. While sales are open, users can build their own geno by selecting from species, base color, markings, color modifiers, and mutations. Each semi custom geno is priced uniquely depending on the building blocks you choose.

If sales are not open, then there is unfortunately no way for you to obtain a semi custom except by waiting for the next sale! Semi custom genos can only be redeemed by the person who purchased the geno or by the account they designated to receive the geno at the time of purchase. Semi custom genos and imports can be sold and traded by users after creation, but semi custom genos are not allowed to be resold for more than their original purchase price.

Redeeming a Semi Custom

Once you have paid for your semi custom, you can now redeem it! There's no time limit on how soon you have to redeem it after purchase- you are welcome to take your time and figure out exactly what you want. Remember that the only thing set in stone is the species- you have freedom to change around base color, markings, color modifier, and mutations (within limits, based upon which tiers you purchased). Once you get your geno redeemed, your choices are set and cannot be changed later unless you use the required items in-game.

To redeem your geno, you will need to submit a claim. Please submit a separate claim for each geno you want to redeem.

View your Claims

In the top righthand corner of the page, click on "New Claim", and you'll see a form open up. The only box you need to fill out is the "Comments" area, where you will provide us the info needed to redeem your geno! Please include this form in the Comments box and fill it out:

Order Number:

[the number indicated in your invoice- see below]

Base color:

[either link a solid color swatch or post the rgb values]

Custom markings:

[write each marking you want and het or hom for each]

Random markings:

[write each random marking slot and rarity]

To find your order number, check the PayPal invoice you received from us! Each geno order gets a unique number attached to it, formatted like so: ##-####. For genos with multiple orders, there will also be a letter attached to the end, so it may look more like: ##-####-A. If you ordered multiple genos in one order, please verify to make sure you are providing the correct number.

Once you have submitted your claim, you are all set! Admins will process these claims as quickly as we can. Once your claim is processed, your claim will be approved and the semi custom geno will be granted to your account. After that, you're free to use it the same as any other geno!

Rerolling a Semi Custom

If you are unhappy with the random markings you get after redeeming your geno, then you have the option to request a reroll! Rerolling a semi custom means that randomized marking slots will reset, and admins will re-randomize them for you. A reroll will not reset the variant or sex of your geno, only the random markings. Rerolls are only an option for semi custom genos that contain random markings.

You may request one reroll per geno.

Please be certain that you want a reroll before you request one, as all randomized markings in your first roll will reset and whatever you get on the reroll will be final.

To request a reroll, submit a new claim. Please include the URL to the geno and URL to the original claim from when you redeemed the geno. (To find the claim URL, go to your Claims page and select the "Approved" tab to see a history)

Once your claim is submitted, an admin will reroll the random markings in the geno. Your claim will be approved once this is done.
