High up. Amazingly so. The world didn’t seem big when you looked down upon it from the mountain side. Seeing it from the perspective of ground level was simply not the same as watching the world from a higher up place. At ground level it seemed as if there was no way they could ever get to the other side of the valley. But watching it from the top made the valley they had crossed to get to the mountain seem so much smaller.

All five of the dinosaurs had reached the peak of the mountain. Camille had been the one that reached it first. But that was not surprising. She was energetic and had the agility as a Utahraptor that her adoptive dads just didn’t have as Styras.

She had been climbing the side of the mountain as if it had been the easiest task in the world while all her four Styra dads had been trying to at least keep a decent pace. Fell hadn’t been the slowest, but not the fastest either. The fastest one in the group had been Kassadin. He was also the one that egged on their daughter as she climbed. Brick had been the one complaining the most about their little trip. But in the end none of them regretted it.

Getting to the top of the mountain had been hard. Their short legs had not been made for this climb. But as they reached the top it was worth it. To look out over the landscape. It was a shame that they could only stay for a little bit.

“Hello fellow travelers.” The voice felt as if it came from nowhere. Fell, Kassadin, Brick and Cantaloupe all whipped their heads around in surprise. The voice belonged to an enormous Shuno. It easily towered over each of them. Fell wasn’t even sure if they would reach above him if three of them managed to stand on top of each other. “Wonderful view.” The yellow Shuno added. He must have come from the other side of the mountain because Fell was quite sure he would have remembered if there had been an enormous Shuno right next to them.

“WOW!” Camille shouted as she had managed to turn her gaze away from the sights and slowly panned her head up the Shunos height and met his eyes. “You must have an even better view than we do! You are HUGE!”

All four of the Styras collectively sighed in silence. Camille wasn’t one to keep her thoughts inside of her brain when she got them. She was not rude most of the time, but they hadn’t even gotten to know the stranger's name and she was already commenting on his appearance. The stranger didn’t seem to mind, he simply laughed as he lowered his head.

“Yes. The view is even more impressive from up here.” He nodded.

“Camille.” Brick looked sternly at their daughter. “At least introduce yourself first.” He turned around to face the Shuno. “I am sorry, this is our daughter Camille and I am Brick.” He nodded his head slightly in a greeting. Camille, after being introduced by one of her dads, did the same.

“It’s fine, it’s fine.” The Shuno let out a chuckle. “I am Butter.”

“And I am Fell, and these are Cantaloupe and Kassadin.” Fell introduced himself. “We’re all from the other side of the valley.”

“Oh, you’ve travelled far.” Butter added in surprise towards the family of Styras and Utahraptor. “For the sights?”

“YES!” Camille nodded as she practically shouted, the yes echoed out from the side of the mountain. “We passed over the valley-” she pointed roughly to how they had walked over the valley. “-and we had a snack over there.”

Even if she pointed towards the different places they had stopped on it was way too broad for the Shuno to actually tell where she meant. But he simply nodded along as she spoke and told him about every single part of their journey. To all her dads dismay.

“Camille..” Fell tried to get her attention. She turned around to face him. “I am sure he didn’t come up to this mountain for you to tell him about every single part of our journey.” He gave an excused smile to the Shuno.

“It’s fine. It’s fine.” He once again added as he chuckled. “I am actually staying up here for a week. I am waiting for someone else to join me.”

At this information Camilles eyes seemed to sparkle. Fell could tell her thought process before she even managed to get the words out.

“A WHOLE WEEK?” She turned around towards her dad who already knew what she wanted to ask them. “Can we also stay?” She practically jumped up and down as she spoke to them. Excited felt like an understatement at this point.

“We can’t. Don’t you remember what you asked us to do tomorrow?” Fell tried to coax her to abandon the idea of staying on top of the mountain. Camille looked as if she had a tough decision. Neither of her dads wanted to stay on top of the mountain. They were heading to the sea after this for one last beach trip before the cold truly set in. And at least Fell and Cantaloupe didn’t feel comfortable sleeping on top of a mountain. Camille thought about it for a while before she turned to Butter, a sorrowful grimace on her face as if she was about to give the Shuno the worst possible news.

“We are going to the beach after this so we can’t stay.” Butter looked over at her dads who all looked happy that she had decided that the beach was indeed better than the mountain.

“Ah, right. Well that is very important too.” Butter added as he nodded. “I think that’s a really good choice.” Camille nodded at his words.

“But we can stay a while, right dads?”

“Of course, you might not need it but all of us need to properly catch our breath before we can even think of heading down again.”

They stayed on top of the mountain, getting to know the Shuno and letting Camille really take in all the details of the world from the perspective of a flyer before they started their walk back down the mountain again to continue their journey.

“If you are ever on the opposite side of the valley do say high!” Fell yelled back at the Shuno. There was a lot of agreeing yells beside him from his partners and their daughter who added:

“You’ve gotta! I’ll show you all the best places!”

“I will.” Were the last words they heard Butter yell back as he disappeared from view.
