“No one will trust anything that comes from a face like yours.” 

The words were harsh but true. It was hard to trust a face that couldn’t keep itself from grinning in perhaps the most malicious way possible. Phaeniss had a tendency to cause distrust in anyone he met. There was rarely anyone who actually trusted him when he started talking. He never could hide his bloodlust. 

“I want to cause some chaos too.” He whined to both Kormal and Ferdinand as they had come up with a few rumours to spread around the court. Mostly stupid rumours but if you spread enough stupid rumours usually there was someone who would believe one or two of them. And once they believed them it would be easy to keep spreading rumours as well.

“As soon as you start talking you have this grin on your face.” Kormal said. It was easy to read the yellow and green raptor. It was one reason why he had never managed to attack them with one of his plans. They could so easily see his intentions. And most likely Iguanadons would be able to do the exact same thing with a similar ease. “Now we have some other ideas that might work with you.”

Phaeniss immediately grinned wide.
“See,” Ferdinand sighed, he couldn’t help but grin as well when he saw the yellow and green raptor. As stupid as Phaeniss was, at least there was something pleasant about his malicious side and the way he seemed to exist just for the sake of the chaos, “it’s so easy to read you.” Ferdinand gave a quick shake of his head as he walked past. 

“You, our dear, dear, Phaeniss. We have the perfect idea for you.” Phaeniss looked sceptical at first, when Kormal spoke to him, but there was a hint of intrigue in his gaze as both Ferdiand and Kormal laid their arms on his back. “How do you feel about destroying some things?” His tail immediately whipped from side to side behind him. Once again showing how bad of an actor he actually was. 

“You can’t get caught though. Because we can't really be bothered to break you loose if you do get caught.” Of course they would break the idiot loose if he managed to get caught but it was easier if he didn’t get caught. They could keep doing stuff that would make it harder for the iguanadons if they didn’t have to actually concentrate on breaking him out of a jail cell as well. “There’s this room that we heard about. While we are running around distracting people around the court with tasteful rumours about their friends and acquaintances you make sure to enter that room and just go ham.”

Phaeniss nodded enthusiastically. It was more about the fact that he got to destroy stuff than anything else. But he was none the less excited about all of their plans.

“Only stay for a few minutes. Destroy as much as you can. But when they hear you they will come looking for you. And the more we can avoid getting caught-” Kormal gestured with his hand as Ferdinand finished his sentence:

“-the more chaos we can cause.” 

“I understand.” Phaeniss hadn’t really stopped nodding his head all this time. For once they actually thought that the yellow and Green raptor understood them.

They didn’t wait long, afraid that if they made it too boring for the idiot raptor he would forget the plan completely and just not wait long enough for them to start spreading some rumours and get everyone's attention on the gossip instead. Kormal went more towards the east part of the outside of the court while Ferdinand stood at what could be a small, unkept park nearby. Phaeniss did as he had been told and waited patiently until he had seen his two partners talking to at least a few other dinosaurs around the court. As long as someone listened they didn’t really seem to care about who they told the rumours. Some of the dinosaurs easily dismissed them and left quickly. But there were a few dinosaurs that seemed hooked on the gossip as Kormal or Ferdinand spoke to them. Phaeniss could see how they ran off presumably to tell other dinosaurs about what scandalous things they had heard about the court and queen. 

Phaeniss didn’t wait too long. Longer than he wanted. Everytime he was about to head into the court and find the room with all the things he could destroy he told himself that he would wait until one more dinosaur had talked to either Kormal or Ferdinand. Eventually feeling like he had waited long and good enough. One of the guards had left his position to go and see what all the fuss was about. Why there had been so many different dinosaurs stopping for so long at the little park. The other guard was for a moment curiously looking after the other guard, making it easy for Phaeniss to easily sneak past the guard and enter the court.

He quickly rushed around until he found the room. He didn’t know what any of the stuff in that room was, if it was important or if it was useless. He didn’t care either. He just wanted to destroy stuff. Make it a bit more chaotic for the iguanadons. He crashed around in the room immediately. Throwing down stuff that was high. Crashing things into each other. Just purely messing about the room. He was almost having too much fun as he trashed it, temporarily forgetting that he wasn’t supposed to stay too long. He could hear voices in the distance. They sounded worked up and he figured that that if anything would be his queue to leave the room. He hurried out, making sure to kick everything he could as he exited the room to cause some form of last moment chaos. 

He wasn’t sure how he managed to get past everyone rushing towards the chaos, but he did. Eventually nobody cared about him sneaking past them; they were too worked up about the crashed room and destroyed stuff. He could hear someone mention how first all the rumours had started spreading that were most likely fake, most of them because one of the rumours was about her and she for sure had not done that thing - and now there was an entire room destroyed. Clearly this was some form of malicious thing that was happening here and as Phaeniss exited the building he couldn’t keep himself from laughing. It was fun creating chaos after all. Not as fun as fighting, he would have to admit. But at least this chaos made time go faster, and the more issues the Iguanadons had to face the funnier it all became.
