[DTA] Berry good idea

Wisteria had been trying to learn recipes to make things sweeter with her foods. Her knowledge has grown a bit since her best friend Zia helped her learn the most basic part; gardening!

After several months of practicing with gardening and mustering up some sort of meal, Wisteria figured out the best way to make things sweet. The one she personally enjoyed was adding red berries.

There had been an Igaunodon that was always looking for something sweet!

Even though Wisteria was a small oviraptor, she wanted to be on good graces with everyone when possible. What better way to do such a thing then by finding out what gave others joy by what goes into their bellies.

GENIUSES, obviously; she thought to herself while happily bobbing around. She found a small satchel, oddly enough it was at some vacated store. It made it easier to garden and, actually, easier to carry around ‘Purple Guy’. There was a pouch in the front that Wis always had him resting in when gardening.

It was like he was supervising her. It gave Wisteria some sense of security and that made her happy.

Once she placed the shoulder satchel around her small body, she manuevered around to find a gardening clipper. She thought it was the best way to save the berries and not have them squished in her satchel.

Wisteria bobbled her way to meet up with this Iggy, his name was Tom. She only knew this because others had been wanting to meet with him.

Food was such a motivator for all dinosaurs; big and small!

While on the way to see Tom, Wisteria made a pit stop to a bush she knew about that held red berries. She used the gardening clippers. Carefully clipping and snipping a few bushels of the berries. Gently she would place them into her satchel. She did not want them to be squished. Or let alone, stain her satchel.

Her movements were rather focused and precise. A hidden perfectionist.

Tom had been in and out of his small-ish den. Small was definitely an understatement because he was so much bigger than Wisteria.

Wisteria knew or at least tried her best, to be on his good graces. She did not want to upset or make Tom mad. Who knows, he may try to step on her! How rude!

Tom was stepping back outside of his den with a mouth full of leafy greens as he noticed an Ovi coming up to his place. His brown eyes were soft and sincere. A gentle giant, mostly. He took a few more steps out, meeting the Roan oviraptor at a halfway point. Lowering his head close to the ground, dropping the greens. He licked his beak.

Wisteria approached the Iguanodon with caution, but she tried her best to not show it.

“Well, hello there little one,” Tom spoke in a deep voice. It was rather welcoming.

“Hi, Tom? Right?” Wisteria held no hesitation in her voice as she greeted the larger dinosaur.

“That’s correct,” Tom replied, with a nod and a small chuckle. A bit surprised that a small dinosaur knew his name.

“Good, good,” Wisteria spoke with a nod. Reaching in her satchel, she slowly and carefully pulled out some bushels of berries. The red was so vibrant, she knew better than to have any be damaged during this process. Gently, she laid them on the ground in front of her. She spoke again, softly and with a lot of confidence, “I was told you like sweets. Here’s some red berries. They’re very sweet and delicious in anything!”

She was so confident. It was rather odd coming from her but perhaps this was unlocking some instinct in her that wanted her to prove herself to be the larger dinosaur even though she was in fact, small. Intimidation without any repercussions, so to speak.

Tom observed the young one, tilting his head to the left then right before listening intently. How lovely, he thought. He lowered his head to the berries, barely stepping forward to break the gap but also to not step on his greens.

They smelled sweet. His tongue slipped out of his mouth, allowing it to tickle his tastebuds. It was not bitter, which was a good indicator.

“Well, this is quite lovely of you,” Tom spoke. Allowing his tastebuds to soak in the flavor. It was plain but he knew usually if things were sweet, they held almost no flavor on the outsides of them.

“Mmm,” Wisteria gave a nod of acknowledgement from his actions before adding, “I like to add them in things I want to have more sweeting. Like your greens there, I bet if you add a berry, …it’ll be yummy!” Her head nodded toward the greens as she mentioned them to Tom.

Tom would not deny any access to having more sweets. Little did the small Oviraptor know, Tom was knowledgeable in how to mix things together but had not tried these red berries before.

“Where can I find more of these berries?,” Tom questioned, tilting his head as he waited for the small one to reply.

“Well, back ways behind me. Or.. or, I can always do the task for ya!” Wisteria lifted an arm and kind of pointed in a diagonal direction behind her. Who was she kidding, she did not have the exact area memorized, yet. But maybe with Tom’s task, it could be a good incentive to improve her memory!
