[DTA] Curious cuties
Wisteria was wandering for part of the morning until she reached a small pond. There were plenty of trees as well as so many bushes. Some of the bushes had fruit! She was intrigued by the colors of the berries and decided to try and eat some.
A few of the first ones were a blue-purple hue; they tasted rather bitter. This made Wisteria pucker- or at least, make a sour expression. “Blech, gross!” she stated.
She took a few steps to reach the bush to the right, there were some vibrant red berries. They looked delicious to her! She reached for a couple and plopped them into her beak.
“Mmm… delicious,” Wisteria stated. Her eyes closed with excitement as birds started to flutterby.
Wisteria did not pay any attention to them as she consumed some more of the berries. After a greedy handful, she tossed them into her beak. The flavor was fairly sweet but not too sweet.
She did notice there were birds pecking for some of the same berries. It made her smile happily. She was glad she was not being too greedy and allowing others to have a chance at the berries. In her opposing hand, she had been holding ‘Purple Guy’ close.
“You’re missin’ out on these berries, Purple Guy. Even the birds are enjoying it!,” Wisteria spoke teasingly with some excitement in her tone though. She knew a rock could not eat like her. But only if he could! They would spend so many days together.
As the berries had filled Wisteria’s belly, for the time being. She bobbled herself to the pond, leaning down to peck her beak into the cool water. Eyes closed, focusing on the flavor of the clear liquid. Allowing it to slide down her throat, was a very nice feeling especially after eating something sweet.
“Ah! They’re so pretty!,” a voice beckoned calm, male voice. It had a tune to it, to Wisteria at least.
In mid swallow, she flapped her arms in a startled matter. She gulped it down as she looked up and around. Another oviraptor. Boy, was he pretty to her too!
“Look at ‘em,” the other pointed to the blue and black birds, flying around. Some of them were still eating the berries that Wisteria had munched down not too long ago.
Wisteria could not help but giggle nervously. It was a first for her to encounter a male Ovi. Especially one she thought was attractive. She giggled again before looking around at the flying creatures, “oh, yeah! They are very pretty!”
Wisteria stated in agreement then added with a smile upon her expression, “I had some of the red berries. The birds seem to enjoy them as much as I did.”
Tiainen nodded in agreement, his eyes fluttering around them; taking in the scenery it seemed.
Curiously, Wisteria looked around with her own eyes. Enjoying the sight and sounds. Ah yes! The sounds of the birds chirping and singing.
She giggled softly before she spoke, breaking the silence to her curiosity, “What brings you out here? It can’t just be the birds?” Part of her hoped it was not just for the birds. Perhaps he was wanting to get a drink from the pond or a snack from the berries like her. Her mind raced with so many ideas.
“Nah, I was just wandering around the lands. I do like to bird watch. They’re like us ya kno’, they are just as innocent and full of curiosities,” Tiainen spoke in a calm tone, with enthusiasm within his voice as well. He tried to show interest in conversing with another, especially one of his own kind. This allowed for any threats between the two to be slim to none.
“Oh, I.. I guess that’s true!,” Wisteria had held a pause briefly before the words came to her. The other was right though. The birds were just like them. They did not look as pretty though, at least to her. She had not come across a bird that was vibrant or full of various markings like this Oviraptor.
There was silence, again. The birds zing zinging around them now. Chirping and singing. Some of the birds continued to take berries and head to their nesting areas, while others dipped into the pond for a quick bath. The sight was lovely to watch.
“So, may I ask, what your name is?” Tiainen spoke while his gaze shifted to the Roan Ovi. Curiosity was seen within his entire expression as his red eyes blinked slowly.
“Me?” Wisteria questioned while she had to look around with her purple eyes. No one was around her. She giggled, nervously, then replied, “I’m Wisteria, but you can call me Wis! And this... this is Purple Guy!” She could not forget her favorite rock friend, which was really a purple quartz. Another giggle escaped her beak as she held up her arm to show the other the rock. It was rather pretty, clean and shiny. Just how Wisteria liked it.
Tiainen chuckled then spoke, nodding toward the rock, “Well, pleasure to meet you Wisteria and... Purple Guy. I’m Tiainen.” He could not help but keep a large smile across his beak as another chuckle muddled out.
Wisteria giggled as she hugged ‘Purple Guy’ close. Part of her wanted to explain why she carried the rock but part of her wanted to keep the suspense in case he wanted to learn about it later. Who knows, maybe they would go on adventures and find more rocks!? Oh, how Wisteria would love that. If she shared too much with this stranger, Tiainen, he might have the wrong idea of her. She did not want that at all.
