Who spilled the seeds?
Nightingale had been told about the islands needing more speeds planted throughout Atlantis. With no hesitation, would she assist anyone, especially the Queen! Nightingale knew the importance of following the Queen and her orders rather than disrespecting them.
There were several others wandering around, grabbing various types of seeds and pots with plants. With her speed, she thought she could take on a good amount of the seeds and spread them around.
Quickly, she would scoop up two large bags of seeds, and luckily for her, her strength has grown some. The bags felt to be maybe five pounds in total (or 2.26 kilograms). It was a nice, balanced weight.
She swiftly followed the other various dinosaurs doing the same thing. There was a curved path within the forest that led to the top of Atlantis.
Even though, Nightingale had no idea it existed. Until now.
As she reached the top area, it was full of other dinosaurs of all types. Some she knew as she had personally encountered them and some, she had no idea who or what they were. Her jaw dropped in astonishment because of the supposed teamwork going on.
Synergy. That was such a rare thing to see in these parts. It gave a warm feeling in Nightingale’s heart at the sight. Something that was quite rare to see with dinosaurs in general. Especially when it came to the types, herbivores, carnivores and omnivores. But to have them together? Near each other? And most importantly not fighting?
Wow! Nightingale thought to herself as her red eyes blinked, looking around.
It took a few moments to figure out where a decent vacant area she could play her seeds in. She noticed there were some types of watering system going on. Taking personal note of them, she shifted her weight with her arms still holding the five pounds of seeds close to her chest. As she walked over to the open area, she gave light nods of acknowledgement and respect to the others working.
So many of them with seeds or pots and others with watering cans or leaves.
The united way of assisting the Queen seemed to be giving them all a reason to be civil with one another. Such a rare sight to see.
“This is awesome,” Nightingale spoke, under her breath as she made it to the empty area.
Lowering her body, she dropped one of the bags as it had accidentally opened and a large sum of seeds poured out.
“Shoot!” Nightingale exclaimed with wide eyes then giggled it off before saying another thing, but softer, “at least it’ll help me plant these seeds.”
It was essentially a happy accident that some of the seeds poured out already. It will make her job easier.
The dirt under her talons were already torn up and tilled, to allow planting to occur. One could see the edge of the area that gripped at a dense forest. The air was decent but also smelt strongly of dirt.
She wiggled her nose before she would sneeze while walking in a straight line, pouring the seeds.
“ACHOO!”
Her own sneeze startled her as she giggled at herself. The dirt was surely tickled her nostrils blending in with the seeds.
Not all the seeds that were pouring out of the bag were the same shape, size or color. In a way, it would appear like various colored pebbles plopping onto the soft dirt. She paused in her tracks before tilting her head to the right then left then straight again.
“Hmm… interesting,” Nightingale would whisper to herself.
She did not want others to know or understand the discovery. But her senses told her, something was not right.
Either way, she continued onward. Pouring her seeds out of the 2.5-pound bag before it was empty. She shook it till all the droppings fell out of the bag. Or crumbs in this matter.
Taking the empty sack with her, to where she first started her planting. She traded the empty sack for the full one and followed along the path she completed.
However, the sack had emptied out a bit. Using her talons, she tried her best to scoop and scrape at the seeds, shoveling them back into the bag. It took a few strokes of her arms to fill up the bag again. Granted, there were still a good few dozen seeds scattered around the place it laid.
Oh well, it’ll give a better chance to the growing process, she thought to herself.
A low purr of contentment vibrated at her muzzle as she allowed the seeds to continue to pour out, slowly this time. She knew better now.
There were conversations going on all over the place, some louder than others. There were talks by the Queen paying a visit to make sure the job was going to be done. That made her pause with a large gulp.
Looking around, Nightingale tried to pinpoint which voice spoke of such a thing, without realizing she was barely hanging onto the sack anymore as it was nearly emptied out. The voice that spoke of such a thing, she could not tell where or who it was from.
It kind of gave her a scare as she did not want to encounter the Queen, at least not yet.
She would scan the area, slowly as she returned to the start of her planting and grabbing the other empty bag. The dense trees nearby had rustling occurring, which gave her a slight chill.
Her body shivered from head to tail as the noises were kind of far away sounding but noticeable. Tilting her head to the side a bit, she closed her eyes to take in the sounds better.
Hoots, howls and chatters from no other than monkeys were going on. Their sounds varied in decibels that could harm ears if they were too close.
She had no idea what the monkeys wanted to do with the dinosaurs. As her eyes reopened, she moved back toward the curved pathway; the way she originally came from. As she walked into the open area with all the seeds and pots of plants, she realized she had forgotten to water the seeds!
Nightingale getting seeds and going up to the area where others are planting seeds. Accidentally, she spills a bag but eventually cleans it up.
