The scent of another cryo filled Roxanne’s nose as she lifted her head from the ground taking in and scanning the area around her, her glowing scales giving off a vibrant glow of yellow as it flowed down her body.. she was on the hunt but not something to eat but something to impress using her odd and rare colouring. Most cryos ignored her and others got confused on what she was due to the vibrant

Colouring and most male cryos she crossed paths with would try and fight her or intimidate her so she was often driven away but this time she had picked up on a scent of another female cryo and was keen on finding her.

Further in the bush red eyes watched as Abandon was minding her own looking to find a spot to rest away from all the craziness as she was much older and often was annoyed with the season of courtship and did her best to avoid others of her kind during this time but there was always watchful eyes so it was never easier said then done and she knew this. Snappy and vicious she usually could drive off others that approached her although she didn’t mind rearing young so wanting to be courted was kind of on her mind at times, shaking her head she found a spot that would be great for basking as the sun was out and harsh today.

“This should do, away from all the hectic crazy of trying to impress others” she grumbled to herself jumping up on a rock and slumping down her thick tail hitting the side as she let out a sigh of relaxation. Her alone time was going to come to a quick halt as Roxanne watched from the thick of the bushes and was about to make herself known to Abandon, because introductions were important for first impressions.

Abandon lifted her head sniffing her air and let out a growl as she honed in on the thick bushes “I know you are there come out before I make you” she said, hissing her red eyes narrowed as she spotted a yellow glow that wasn’t hidden well.

Roxanne stepped out and was quiet as she lifted her head “oh you seen me.. well that didn’t work” she mumbled her glow now vibrant as ever which piqued Abandon's interest and curiosity, this was a female cryo but she spotted the vibrant colors like a male which was odd. Roxanne felt the worry leave her body for some reason even if Abandon looked scary and unwelcoming she hadn’t attacked her yet which was a good sign since impressing her was Roxanne’s main goal she just had to put that want into action.

“Oh well you looked interesting and I was wondering if you were courted yet” Roxanne said, stepping forwards and giving a friendly smile to Abandon who tilted her head and shook her head. 

“Well impress me then” Abandon said as she turned her head and sat up a bit looking at Roxanne as the other cryo nodded before lowering her head and then moving her head up and down making her glowing marking flush to the max as she didn’t a little dance moving her feet and kicking up dirt with each move, and it was working with each flash of glow it made Abandon more

Curious and impressed by Roxanne’s moves and little dance she was doing for her, but that wouldn’t be enough to win her over.

“Bravo what a nice courtship dance but is that all you bring to the table” Abandon said as she stood up and jumped off the rock circling Roxanne who was catching her breath and watched Abandon carefully with each step she took, she was much bigger than her.

“I’m really good at picking nesting spots and finding things for them” Roxanne said quickly as she rushed off to grab a nearby stick and placed in down in front of Abandon who laughed and did take in account that Roxanne being a female she probably was good at creating a great nesting area for the two.

“Alright well if you can make a good nest , then maybe you have won me over” Abandon said as she looked at Roxanne who nodded and took the lead making sure Abandon followed behind her. Nesting was important and it mattered where and what you used so Roxanne had her work put out for her but she was confident, the two walked through the brush as the smaller

Cryo picked up various things to use which were sticks and foliage that would protect their hatchlings along with keep them hidden, Abandon did as well making sure to follow Roxanne closely as they came to a small cave like den, it seemed she and scouted the place out prior to running into Abandon and it looked sturdy and great hidden away like Abandon enjoyed.

“Here it is, I hope you like it” Roxanne said as she placed down the sticks and foliage which hollowed out a perfect place for eggs, Abandon inspected it and went inside placing the sticks she grabbed before sitting down and sniffing the air, it was comfortable and seemed like a great spot to pick in which she nodded to Roxanne who gave her a soft smile back.

“It’s perfect, you seem to know your nesting sites well” Abandon said as she made herself comfortable moving sticks into different places so they would fit better, in which Roxanne now knew it was time to head out to find more along with Abandon deciding to join, the two had decided to pair. Roxanne had proved herself to Abandon and it seemed to be working out so far, it was time to make sure the nest would be built in preparation of hatchlings. The two nuzzled one another and set off to find more foliage and sticks ready for the arrival in the next coming weeks, the pair ready to take on the challenge.
