“Thank you again for this uh…. Pepper was it?” A Golden Utah pipped up from behind the huge white and black marking Iguanodon, the Cryo behind them staring down as they clutched a bundle of fruits and greens between his arms. As the larger of the two tilted her head back she nodded and gave what she hoped a comforting smile. 

When the Iguanodon had first found the two, it was because the claim of the utahraptor stated that his hatching had strayed from his side and they were trying to reunite again. Knowing that although the little one was that of a carnivore none here would dare harm a chick of all things and knowing that if Pepper stood besides them they would have a better time navigating with little fuse and hassle from the others. 

“I assure you that we'll find your little one soon Pony Boi, just keep those items on hand” the larger of the group said motioning to the bundle that was dropped across his own back. The raptor slowed his strut, reaching back to adjust his gift before once more following. 

It took them a while, as they walked to the area that seemed to house this ‘Queen’ or council Pony talked the whole time, trying to be charming and appear non threatening as he could. It didn't take long when they reached a point more of Pepper kind was seen, their scoffs and haughty glare not going unnoticed. But where Crackled seemed to want to shrink, Pony Boi raised his head higher and took purposeful fluid steps, strutting his way beside the two. 

The mummers that followed him could tell there were snorts and head lifts their way, two carnivores and one of their kind. As they got closer and closer Pony boi almost lost composer when he saw the sight before him. His chick was surrounded by many of Pepper kind, some sitting or laying down, others standing. His chick was busy playing a fool it felt like, dancing and twirling and flashing their feathers. 

Pony couldn't look away, Here his adventures daughter was dancing. Something he never saw them do before, but from the looks of it she seems to have experience with it. Because he could see no stumbling or unsure steps. Every twist or twirl was with confidence or purpose. So in rapture he was that both him and crackle seem to forget why they were there for a second. The Iguanodons seem humorous at the actions however and that was when Pepper cleared her throat. 

“Fellow Council members, I ask you excuse the interruption, we have guest-”

“DAD!!” Alois cried as they ran over, Pony quickly walked over, leaning down to nuzzle with Alois as he soothed her feather down. He ignored the displeased mummers from the others as Crackle slowly came forward. 

“Honored Council, I am Crackled, my companion is Pony boi, we come to give gifts and show peace and whatever disgrace the little one may have done.” Crackled stammered near the end as he tripped up. Pony however ignored them as slowly he pulled away and stare down at Alois “Are you insane little one, how many times had i told you to stick near me.” he rumbled worry clear in his tone but a frown marring his maw, His daughter had the good gracious of looking remorseful as she looked down.
“I'm sorry dad, I just…. Saw one of the feather ones that looked like us and he didn't see me climb in his bag and then next thing i know i was dropped off here and they ask me to entertain em and well…” 

Bashful Alois clawed at the ground, rumbling “they liked my dance and i just lost the time…” Pony boi could only sigh while shaking his head, pushing the chick behind him as he then stepped forward slightly.

The many eyes that stared at him didn't make him back down as he leaned his head down in a bow. “Thank you Councill, for watching my daughter. I have brought these gifts as both a thanks and show of good will.” He said as he reached back and took the bundle off him, Crackle beside him doing the same as fruits and wheat was placed before them.

Pepper once more stepped up and smiled at the untrusting eye of her fellow Council, reaching down to take the red fruit and taking a bite, the resounding CRUNCH causing the others to slowly get up and come forward.

“You should be more mindful of your children, such irresponsibility.” one of the council rumbled as they took their pick of the gifts, slowly one by one grabbing something from the pile.

“Yes, I know this won't happen again if it can be helped.” Pony boi nodded before sending a pointed look down at his daughter, who stepped forward and gave a bow. “Thank you so much for watching over me until my father arrived.” she rumbled. The harsh stares soften as many of the Iguanodon leaned down to bump snouts with Alois.

“You behave now little one!”

“Yes, don't run off from your father now, you must behave yourself!”

“And keep up the dancing, you are very good!”

“Yes yes! Very good! Such delightful dancing!”

“Thank you everyone” Alois squeaked feathers fluffing up in embarrassment at all the praise. Then all eyes turned to Crackle and Pony. Crackle puffed up a bit, the more reserved cryo meeting the towering eyes head on. “You boy, you have a good heart, don't let that weak spine get in the way.” Before they turned to Pony

“And you. Father of the little jester. Don't let her trail off away from your side again.” Pony boi could only snort at that as he picked up his daughter by the scruff of the neck. Reaching around to set her on his back and then to Crackle who only nodded and bowed to the council. 

It was time to leave.
