Crossing Paths ( Age-up for : Geode & Boneyard )- AgentShark

It was a stormy night on the island as winds blew harshly causing the trees to crack and creak And it had been going on for the past few days causing some dinosaurs to lose their way in the storm and that happened to two particular carnivores who strayed too far from their pack and loosing protectors that a young age for small hatchlings didn’t usually have a good outcome.

Lost and alone a small utahraptor hatchling chirped out in hopes to hear back from her pack up it was silent, lost in the dark her colors allowed her to blend in but she was scared her feathers puffed out due to it, she had been following behind the adults

Before losing sight of them and becoming lost

In the storm, Geode would now be on her own now to navigate the harsh world she lived in.. but it seemed like she wasn’t the only one suffering from the same storm.

Deeper in the forest the sound of small feet could be heard and the hissing out from a small cryo hatchling by the name of Boneyard as he looked around frantically trying to find his family who also got lost in the storm's weather leaving him behind and not turning back.

Geode moved silently as she heard the storm rattle around her, her scales drenched in water and mud looking for a place to hunker down but as she walked she spotted footprints in the mud, something else was around and now she was curious maybe it was her pack mates!? She quickly followed them making sure to check back behind her the first few steps.

The storm was harsh and getting left behind was common amongst most with most youngsters not making it till the morning and now the two were lost, separated and alone. Boneyard walked around before stopping as he heard the faint sound of wet footsteps making their way to him, his red eyes scanning before spotting a shadow heading towards him as he let out a growl, his feathers standing up to try and make himself look bigger. Geode walked forwards as she spotted Boneyard and hissed when she got closer, her feather-like hair standing up as well as she stood still, her claws clicking the ground as rain poured onto both of them.

“Who are you! Were you following me?” Boneyard hissed and growled before waiting for an answer from Geode who put her guard down slightly seeing it was only a hatchling of a cryo who was just a bit bigger than her. “My name is Geode and no I wasn’t following you I am lost , and seems like you are too” Geode said as she huffed in annoyance which made Boneyard drop his guard as well looking over the young utahraptor who seemed to be in the same predicament as he was.

“Well this storm isn’t helping and I lost my pack, seems like you did too?” he said, approaching her slowly and sniffing around as he shook out the water from his feathers. “Maybe we can stick together since I don’t think we will be able to find our packs. They are long gone by now.

Geode looked around and nodded before following him, maybe crossing paths was what she just needed for the two to survive besides being alone this young was never a good thing for hatchlings so the two decided to stick together while the storm was getting harsher and harsher with each minute.

“So how did you get lost from your pack” Geode said as she stuck close to Boneyard who lead the way through the deep forest they were in with the thunder cracking loudly and the two huddling together when it did, before Boneyard spotted a large log that had fallen and cracked open creating a shelter. 

“I’ll explain more come this way we can hide in here, quickly” Boneyard said rushing ahead and taking a spot under the log waiting for Geode to join him in which she did and followed quickly and sat beside him, they would wait out the storm here and get to know one another while it passed.

“Well I was following them and the storm got worse and I lost sight of them, what about you?” Boneyard said as he looked at Geode who was listening intently at the cryo hatchling. The small utahraptor sighed and nodded before she spoke “Something similar happened to me, but I am glad I came across you” she added before shaking out her feathers and smiling at Boneyard who nodded in agreement before thinking about maybe the two should stick together since finding their packs was not a good idea and having each other would help for their survival

“Well I think we should stick together. I think it will benefit us, and things don’t happen like this for no reason” Geode said as she stood up and smiled before waiting for an answer from Boneyard who nodded in agreement to Geode's idea of sticking with one another, and besides there had to be a reason they crossed paths no? Just as the two decided, the sound of a loud rumble of thunder echoed across the land and the two decided to wait longer until the storm was fully over.

Boneyard went over some stories from his pack while Geode did the same as she shared some things about her pack and keeping the memories alive since they wouldn’t know if they would ever see them again, and usually when these two species crossed paths it ended poorly for one side but Geode and Boneyard were young enough and didn’t understand it and decided being friends and pack mates was a better idea anyways, crossing paths was on their path and they weren’t sure why but it was what happened and the two would take it as a sign into their older years on the island, it was time to wait out the storm to start their adventure.
