Food on the Table ( Age-up for : Nocturne & Eternus & Sunnuithe )

Finding food was one of the main things that many herbivores learned at a young age and most were pretty good at it being that they were taught by elders or parents that stuck around to teach them, while others had to learn the hard way and at times it could be pretty tricky for the plant eaters. Deep in the jungle a large figure moved slowly as his feet crushed against the earth and two smaller dinosaurs followed behind him, it was Eternus now grown into a young adult and picking up two young stragglers who didn’t seem to have a home.

“Eternus when are we going to find food you said this wouldn’t take long” a small oviraptor piped up by the name of Nocturne who quickly made his way up Eternus’s back and sat down before pecking at the bugs that crawled over his scales. the much larger Styraco sighed and shook frill

Before watching as the other sty that traveled with them came barreling past her footsteps heavy as she was much thicker due to the large plate like scales that covered her entire back.

“Oh shut up Nocturne, just trust Eternus he’s never let us down!” Sunnuithe blurted out as she wrestled with some plant life that was long and annoyed her before quickly keeping up with the other two. Eternus had found the two while traveling and let them tag along with him but it seemed like

They weren’t taught much so finding food was a double win for him as he would teach them and also get them fed, but getting the good food was a lot harder in the jungle as it grew up in high places or was hidden away.

The three came to a stop as a sweet scent hinted in the air and Eternus knew it was a good sign as he looked in the direction it was coming from “ This way I smell something but stick close just incase” he snorted before taking long strides which made Nocturne hold on as it became bumpy due to the pick up in speed and Sunnuithe wasn’t to far behind as she giggled and snorted excited to learn and try the food they would find eventually.

Eternus stopped and slowed his pace as he looked around. They had found a grove of large jungle trees and he knew them well. The only problem is the fruit they grew was usually up high and you had to get creative on how to get them down. “ here we can get these fruit, it’s jungle tree fruit” he added before letting Nocturne slide off his back the black scaled oviraptor looking at the vibrant and juicy fruit.

“Well how are we supposed to get them if they are up there” he said pointing up with his claws, as he watched Sunnuithe walk closer to the tree as she tried to figure out how they were going to get them down as well, but Eternus had a great strategy as he had watched other herbivores do it time and time again. 

“Watch and learn and then you two can try, I have only seen a few other dinosaurs do this so hopefully it works” he snorted “and If this doesn’t work I have another idea” he said before taking a wide stance at the tree while the other two watched, Eternus pawing the ground.

“Here goes nothing” he mumbled before charging at the base of the tree and knocking his frill upwards which shook it but didn’t cause any to fall. Nocturne and Sunnuithe waited patiently as they watched.

“Well that didn’t work, do you have any ideas?” He said looking at the two, in this case they did as Nocturne nodded and pointed to Sunnuithe to stand underneath a smaller tree that hung lower.

“I think this will work, and if it does we can use Eternus since he’s bigger” Nocturne said climbing onto Sunnuithe who positioned

Herself underneath the tree, the two were young but they were full of ideas.

Nocturne stood up as he looked at a fruit before jumping off Sunnuithe and plucking a fruit from the branch before landing on the ground, he did it and used the much larger herbivores as well.

“ if we use you as a base, we can reach up and grab them!” Nocturne said putting the fruit down on the ground and smiling at Eternus who was surprised at the way he did it … but it

Seemed to work, the three repeated the actions as Sunnuithe and Eternus took

Turns being the base and Nocturne grabbed the fruit he could from the low hanging branches, sometimes missing and sometimes

Their gathering as even though it was hard and they had to figure out a way to get the fruit, it ended up working out, a large pile sat on the ground and they all sat down taking a fruit to

Enjoy their hard work, Eternus snorted and chewed his fruit watching Sunnuithe and Nocturne do the same.

“Good work and it was all worth it !” Sunnuithe snorted as she was happy to learn how to over

Come getting food wasn’t always going to

Be easy each time, and along with Nocturne who agreed as he pecked at the fruit, being able to find food even when it was hard to get to there was always a way to figure something out.

Besides it seemed like the harder it was to get the better it tasted and with that they enjoyed their findings and their hard work paid off.
