------------
The chatter of talking grated Irwin ears, the rising and yells of others as he was slowly led further along the trees to a slowly opening. A rumble left when he felt a yank, eyes narrowing down to the flanking flat squished club dinos escorting him along.
“Dont get any funny ideas there, we have been ordered to use whatever force deemed necessary for you Demon.” The one with winged feather on its head snorted, swinging its club tail closer to Irwin leg as if proving his point. The other snorted, eyes obscured by some weird glass. With a displeased rumble they continue until finally they finally cleared the last of the trees into open space. What Irwin saw was many new creatures, from the seed spreaders that they first came to their land, to the ones with clubs. And from the looks of it seated on higher ground.
They were big, he gave them that, stocky in build and on all four much like the paras he saw around. He took note of the claw on the forefront legs, eyes narrowing before looking back at the many faces of them. Yes, Irwin would admit they were bigger than him, almost standing as high as the Acros from down below and that one monstrosity that glowed many colors.
But he dealt with them just fine and he doubted being so isolated like this group had there was hardly any real fighter to them.
The bigger they are, the harder they fall.
“Thank you Korppi. Halberd.” One of the new creatures comments before turning their head upwards as if snuffing him and talking down. “As for you…. Barbarian. It seems you gave us a great headache with your campaign of running amuk and causing trouble for the great creatures of Atlantis. What is it you have to say for yourself?”
Quiet. All Irwin answered with was quietness, claws digging into dirt and scraping just slightly before snorting. Arrogance they were, like he spoke. Turning his head to the side he answered with simple silence and already he could hear the displeasure mummer from the galleries.
The one all grey with black stepped forward, snorting down at him “rest assured fellow. Stubbornness wont help you here, your actions to this land of Atlantis calls for action-”
“My actions? Was it not you who dealt the first blow, crossing into our lands with your birds and spreading unknown seeds into our land?” Irwin interrupts finding great pleasures in the snort of irritation.
“We had only come in good intentions, we did not know how well your kind up above would react to our intervention-”
“Your take over.” He interrupted again, and already some of this so-called leader shook her heads in displeasure and irritation again.
“We do not need to explain our reasoning to you” someone snorted,
“Indeed, what would a brute of a carnivore understand that of the land!?” Another exclaimed. They turned to each other in a debate. The Grey with the black mask was still staring down at Irwin himself.
“Our intentions were not that of a takeover”
“Yet could be seen as one, for why else would unknowns like yourself send your scouts in first with orders to be hidden from the original habitats.”
“We wish to simply help the land which you found yourself in.”
“As if you know what was good for us in the first place.”
“Our actions were one of peace.”
“Peace threw unknown means with incognito intentions.”
They stared at each other for a while, passive eyes staring into cold calculations. The bigger of the two broke eye contact, first shaking her head with resignation that Irwin was probably ignorant to their ways. But it was the break Irwin needed to look at the side where a river ran through, in time to see spiked back and a soft toxic glow disappear under again.
More time was needed it seemed.
“Do you know what actions your stunt almost pulled.” Irwin interrupted, shaking his mane out. The chattering above stopped as eyes stared down at him.
“The lands you oh so claimed to worry about are seated upon a fiery beast. It sleeps dormant and quiet but breathes its fire out continuously. Iv watch it burn alive ignorant fools that thought they could rule the land and tread around uncaring.”
His head swiveled to stare at many of the gathering feather raptors that first made contact.
“Your mission to “do good” and spread your seeds almost caused the island to catch fire, your hope to help would have set everything ablaze, hundreds dead and turned to ash.”
He takes a step forward, and while some of the ones at the top flinch back some lean forward as well. To meet the challenge, and while the clubbed ones tried to hold Irwin back, tried to use their weight to keep him from moving forward the bull was already moving.
And no one ever had yet to stop Irwin when he started to get moving.
Step by step Irwin continued walking, coming face to face with the one with a black face. The one talking to him, who seems to rise up to the challenge.
“I was born stained with the soot and ash of that land. I was born alone, surrounded by the charred remains of who I assumed spawned me. Who I assumed were meant to be brother and sister. That land will never be claimed by the green, that beast will always be the one true ruler and I have heard the whisper it has said to me.”
He knew he now disturbed them, how his words now sounded that of a mad lunatic, that his words now were a raving cultic. Fire? Talking to him? Ha. But the effect worked and he could see the grey one narrow her eyes and lean slightly away.
“And what per say does your so-called ‘King’ ask of you” they asked. And the grin slowly stretched and grew across Irwin's face. It was a stretch, He took a step to be finally on equal ground with them stepping up to their side that had the other turn her back to the water and their confidence that they had deluded them to think anything Irwin does couldn't affect them. But with a quick look to the side the back spiked and greened glow was there once more.
Perfect.
“Burn them all.” The uproar was immediate and with a harsh yank back Irwin barely caught himself on the steps once more. The grey female only shook her head as if she heard enough, that she entertained the lunatic enough.
“Perhaps Atlantis could heal the mind of a lost carnivore my fellow Council members. Perhaps time with us well…. Lessen the grips the mighty fire king hold on this lost soul.” She exclaimed as she started to turn around to go back towards the other. This conversation seems to be done and already Irwin could feel the others start to yank him back. But with a dig in Irwin stopped moving and the two strained.
“Oh I'm not done yet.” He called, catching the so-called Council's attention. “You see, your arrogance assumed that my talk was the raving of a mad dino. But honestly….”
A snort, chuckle.
“I was just fucking with you. How stupid are you to run a damn water system near the heart of your council.”
Red eyes widened and with swivel heads the water exploded, Blacken snout leading to a stark streak of red near his eye and back. The face of Khorne may have always been an annoyance with his raving of their so-called Blood God lead to now a slight satisfaction how all other dinos here tensed and flinch. Or maybe it was the company that was beside him, because of course they never saw that of one of the aquatic creatures. To see the green interlace from head to tail as Radium towered above them all when they thought they were the biggest here. Irwin yanked the reins out the two smaller clubbed creatures hand and strided forward with confidence now.
“Now. to return the favor.”
Didnt another one, I wanted to kinda continue what happen with Vaar and her daughter, They had gone back to talk to Irwin and the myth and legend decided to take matter into his own horns..... with backup.
