Proven feat

They had followed the directions given to them by the oviraptors. The three had had a long talk about whether or not they were supposed to actually go out on an adventure together. It was safe back in the warehouse with all their little and big duckies. Out here it was dangerous and new. But after talking about it during the entire night the two raptors and the sucho had decided that they were ready for an adventure. They could always return home again in case it didn’t work out. They convinced each other that they did in fact not need to finish the adventure if they got scared. Åra was the one that, despite being scared herself, convinced both Öre and Ära to actually head out. They had gone the entire way not letting each other go at all. They walked so close to each other that they looked as if they were connected and unable to leave each other's side.

They were met by a bigger jungle than they had ever before seen. It climbed high with plants they had never seen. The big Sucho walked behind the two much smaller raptors, it must have looked funny from the outside as Ära practically tried to hide between Åra and Öre. All of them were varying shades of grey that matched each other and helped them melt into the shadows of the overgrown jungle as they walked along the edge. All three of them were looking around. It was new and scary. Ära tapped the two raptors on their shoulders occasionally in his own way of telling them that he wasn’t so sure that this was such a good idea and that perhaps they should go back to their comfortable home and forget about this jungle of a place.
“Let’s just go for a bit more Ära.” Åra nodded at him in her most comforting way.
“Yes. Look there’s nothing scary so far.” Öre also tried her best to show the big Sucho comfort in their adventure. It seemed to work as the big Sucho relaxed just a tiny bit as they slowly made their way. In their minds the three were sneaking but they were two Raptors and a Sucho. It was hard to sneak anywhere when they took up quite a lot of space together so it was only really a surprise to the three grey dinosaurs that they were discovered.
All three of the grey dinosaurs froze when they saw the unfamiliar dinosaur in front of them. The dinosaur looked at them for a while before it seemed as if it decided that they were quite not a threat.
“Hello there.” The dark brown Euoplocephalus with stripes along its back was wearing heavy armour over its back that made its way down its legs. “My name is Raya.” The Euoplocephalus voice was friendly as it spoke. She must have easily understood that the three grey dinosaurs were little to no threat.
“I am Åra.” Åra was once again the first of the three to say anything. She always was the first one to dare and speak to strangers. It was the bravery that both Ära and Öre respected the most out of their grey raptor friend. “And this is Öre and Ära.” She added with a nod.
“We’re only here to explore.” Öre took a few steps forward to join up with Åra. Ära quickly took a step forward so that he wouldn’t be left behind by accident even if the distance between the others weren’t more than a step for him. Raya, the Euoplocephalus looked almost expectantly at the Sucho as if she waited for him to add something to the conversation.
“Ära can’t speak,” Åra added quickly, “so we speak for him.”
“How good of you both,” The Euoplocephalus said, “but I can’t just let you walk around in here.” 

All three of the grey dinosaur faces fell when she said this.
“But we really want to pass through.” Öre took one step forward. Behind her Ära nodded in a big gesture as she spoke in hopes that his agreeing nods would somehow convince the strange dinosaur in front of them. The dinosaur smiled.
“I didn’t mean that you are not allowed to pass. You need to prove yourself before you pass.” 
“Prove ourselves?” Åra tilted her head as she spoke. “What do we need to do?” 
“Show me something really impressive. A feat. Something you’re good at. A talent.”
Ära, Öre and Åra looked at each other. Something that they were really good at. Åra was the first one.
“I am so good at jumping!” Both Öre and Ära nodded.
“She’s amazing and Ära can lift super heavy stuff!” Ära nodded and before anyone said anything else he walked over to a nearby fallen tree. He barely got his shorts arm around it far enough to carry it but he managed to lift it above the ground while both Åra and Öre cheered him on. Raya nodded her head with a smile.
“Impressive.”
Åra jumped onto a nearby rock. She gave the surroundings a quick look before she took a leap towards a nearby tree and used it to push away from and with a swift moment turned around in the air before landing on her feet. Ära clapped his tiny hands against his chest in a way of applause while Öre gave off a loud cheer at Åras acrobatic feat. Raya looked over at Öre when Åra was finished with her jump.
“And the last one.” Öre’s face fell but before she could say anything along the lines of her not having a special feat, Ära walked up beside her and placed a tiny hand on her back.

“Öre is the fastest one out of all of us- no, the fastest raptor in the entire world even.” Åra stretched out her arms as wide as she could to emphasise just how fast her friend was. Öre was obviously blushing as the other raptor and the sucho kept gesturing towards her to really sell her speed to the dinosaur in front of them. “Look look, she can easily run from-” Åra looked around them as she spoke, “from that place over there to that place over there faster than you think. Show!” Öre did as she was told by her friend and while she ran at her absolute fastest the grey Sucho waved his arms in a silent cheer as Åra cheered loudly on both her behalf and the Sucho’s behalf.
“Look at that speed! That has to count as a talent. It’s like, so much faster than I could ever run!” Åra practically yelled it out as Öre came running back to them after having pressed her speed to the absolute max.

“Well, it’s certainly so much faster than I could possibly run,” the Euoplocephalus looked over the three dinosaurs in front of her. “You all are very talented.” She nodded and the three friends practically jumped into the air at the compliment.
“So we passed?” Öre asked as all three looked onto Raya with pure excitement in their eyes.
“Yes. You all passed. You are welcome to explore, but be careful.”
Åra, Ära and Öre all looked at each other before turning back to Raya and bowing their heads in thanks.
“Thank you! We will all behave.” Åra and Öre said while Ära nodded to show that he would have also said that if he could’ve spoken.
