Food on the Table ( Age-up for : Soleil & Eclipse & Venom )- AgentShark & Lil Monster

Loud foodsteps and laughter as dust flew with the honks of older parasaurs annoyed with two young parasaurs who were causing issues with all the high energy followed by a young shuno who went by the name of Venom, it was a hot day out and the adults had no patience for the young and them rushing around was just an annoyance. The two young parasaurs now growing into their feathers went by Soleil and Eclipse they had grown and now were young juveniles followed by Venom who had grown a lot bigger and now had grown into her pale scales that varied across her chest. 

“Do you guys even know where we are going, I think we should go get some grub. I can feel my stomach grumbling” Venom bellowed towards the two who were laughing still and turned their attention to the shuno and nodded.

“Oh weren’t we going to the green tide pools, I overheard the elders talk about these really good greens there we should check it out” Soleil honked as she playfully nudged Venom and laughed. The three had been growing up in the herd during the hot months and blossomed a friendship, mostly spending time with each other every minute they could.

“Yeah that’s right, it isn’t to far from here” Eclipse said as she snorted holding her head high looking in the direction of the green pools “Lets head out then” she said shaking out her black feathers and took the lead with Soleil and Venom following behind, besides they could give the elders a rest for the day from their annoyance.

They were young and still learning the ways of how to forage so this would be a great opportunity as any food they had gotten was within arms reach and mouths reach, so it wasn’t ever hard but with the green pools the three weren’t familiar with trying to get food that was submerged in water. As the three made their way to the green pools Soleil and Venom talked about the herds and how the elders were getting a lot more grumpy as of late and seemed like they were growing up quick and weren’t small hatchlings anymore and Eclipse put her two sense in as they talked.

“Ah look we are here! See the pools are over there come on Soleil and Venom time to dig in, I am sure it will be easy” Eclipse said rearing excitedly before taking off towards the pools, with Soleil following behind urging Venom to follow and she was quick to follow behind the two parasaurs. But the three came to a stop as they noticed the pools and no green around them which was odd. There were no bushes which had them puzzled.

“Uhh Eclipse I thought you said there was food here?” Venom said looking around with a confused face as she felt her stomach grumble again. Soon followed by Soliel who looked puzzled as well before stepping forwards towards the pool spotting the green foliage but it was inside the pool of water “I think it’s in here!” she said leaning down on her front hooves as she stuck her bill in the water “Although I am not sure how we are supposed to get it”

In which she was soon joined by Eclipse and Venom who also looked confused as they looked into the clear pool spotting the foliage at the bottom, but Venom had an idea as she watched her elders do something similar in the rivers near the area that the herd usually stayed in. 

“I think I have an idea, I watched my elders do this” Venom said as she leaned down plunging her head into the pool grabbing some of the foliage before pulling her head out splashing Eclipse and Soleil but she had gotten some of the food only to sneeze due to the water that went up her snout.

“You guys try! It feels weird at first but once you do it, it seems fine just make sure not to snort the water” Venom said as she munched on the greens which tasted different from anything they had before. Soleil and Eclipse looked at Venom like she was crazy but it seemed to be like the only way the hard to reach could be gotten.

“Well here goes nothing, if I drown Venom I am blaming you” she snorted before plunging her head into the pool taking a deep breath before doing so as she pulled her head up as soon as she grabbed some greens giving out a cough and shaking her head due to the feathers getting wet, in which Soleil laughed at Eclipse who turned her head and snorted “You do it and see how funny it is” before she started chewing on her greens she had gotten.

“Oh come on its easy, Just have to get used to it” Venom bellowed as she walked to another pull and continued to grab the hard to get plants, and was getting the hang of it while it was now Soleil’s turn as she readied herself and did the plunge as well sticking her head in just like Eclipse and Venom. As she fished around she felt her grip slip but pulled up in time before falling back as the greens she had in her bill came flying and landed on her face.

Eclipse and Venom laughed watching Soleil and continued eating their own “ You look like a weed monster Soleil” Venom said as she chuckled before sitting down her once grumbling stomach now full as she watched the two parasaurs learn the technique, and the trio continued even though the food was a bit harder to get a little water didn’t hurt and a full stomach was worth it.

“Good place to pick Eclipse” Venom said which Soleil nodded in agreement as she munched on her greens, the three laughing and filling up before deciding it was time to head back to the herd and cause more issues for the Elders.
