Being the young in the dinosaur world meant growing up in a harsh environment and learning that everything was out to kill you, and sticking with the elders who had faced these many dangers before, it had been peaceful since the roll around of the nicer weather on the island and many new faces and growing young dinosaurs were still getting their bearings which included large herds of herbivores who would mingle and raise young together.

A flash of yellow and black feathers peered from

Behind a large green bush as large shuno walked around gorging themselves as the herd had come to a rest followed by parasaurs who used the large herbivores as safety while traveling.

“Bumble you are too fast for us, wait up!” Two voices called as a young shuno who spotted Black and blue feathers and another who had pitch black scales and glew slightly with a flare like

Pattern across the front of their body. Venom and Artorias were a part of the shuno herd and Bumbles herd was traveling with them as most of the time they had played and spent time together during the travel, mostly getting in trouble from the adults.

“We were never going to get to the lake I found if you guys don’t keep up” Bumble honked

Coming out from behind the bush he was hiding by as he waited for Venom and Artorias to catch up which he couldn’t blame them they were a lot

Bigger then him even with Venom being a lot

Younger.

The trio wanted to check out a small lake that Bumblebee had spotted while he was traveling with

His herd and it was nearby and that meant leaving the safety of the herd which Artorias didn’t like one bit leaving the blue feathered shuno on edge as she looked back sighing “are you sure

This is a good idea” which she was met with quick nods from Vemon and Bumblebee who were eager to continue on.

As the trio headed towards the lake, they weren’t familiar with what dangers lurked around and especially not being with the herd so not taking notice that they were being followed by watchful

Eyes and jaws that loved when young dinosaurs wandered off from their protection.

Feeling uneasy Artorias would stop looking behind her but would be nudged by the much younger shuno, Venom to keep on going which only made her sigh and talk more with the two as Venom began asking questions due to being the youngest of the three.

“Are we almost there yet Bumblebee I feel like we have been walking for ages now and my feet hurt” Venom bellowed towards the parasaur who laughed and nodded “ I remember it being just over here, see it’s not that far from the herd we will be fine” he said shaking his feathers before spotting the water as he rushed forwards leaving Artorias and Venom to catch up to him again.

“Wow! Look he was right Artorias” Venom said as she rushed forwards giggling leaving behind the larger female shuno who still was on edge and concerned with what might have followed them.

“Just don’t go too far ahead you two, ugh this is so dangerous” she mumbled to herself as she followed behind shrugging off the uneasy feeling that held tight on her. Venom and Bumblebee splashed in the shallow end of the water as they were joined by Artorias who kept a watchful eye as she sat on the shore.

Not far from the open Reaper and Riot stalked the small trio licking their jaws deciding when to make the right move of attack and their target was Bumblebee as Shuno’s posed a threat even at a young age but a parasaur would be easy pickings and besides he wasn’t fully grown.

“Once it’s out of the water we attack, got it?” Reaper hissed at Riot who sighed and rolled

His eyes before nodding. Artorias was right and had every reason to be weary and the three were about to be put to the test in who was stronger in a life or death situation. 

“I am gonna dry off a bit Venom, come on let’s go sit on the shore” Bumblebee honked as he walked out shaking his feathers and headed towards Artorias who watched giving off a soft smile but was quickly startled as the feeling of sharp claws dug into her lower back as she watched Red eyes and pale brown scales leap over her towards Bumblebee and Venom who were also caught off guard by the unknown dinosaur.

“Come towards me now!” She bellowed out moving towards Venom who already rushed to make her way towards Artorias as the elders in their herd taught them about defence and it was needed as these two dinosaurs were predators.

“Get the para! Riot” Reaper

Hissed as she snapped at Artorias who swiftly used her tail and swung towards him slamming her

Tail close to him but missed as he dodged. Venom following suit as she also swung hitting Reaper in the snout causing the cryo who shake

His head in pain from the blow.

Bumblebee’s feathers stood on edge as the red cryo made his way towards him causing the parasaur to rear and kick out with his front hooves and snorting, he needed to make it back towards Artorias and Venom for any form of protection as the cryos could out run him in a chase.

Riot skidded to a stop to avoid the flurry of sharp

Hooves as he watched Bumblebee dash towards the shuno’s past him which the cryo corrected for and was on his tail snapping and hissing, with Reaper still trying to get at the other two with no progress.

“incoming Artorias!” Bumblebee honked as he felt a sharp pain in his back leg which caused him to wince seeing that Riot had landed a bite and was pulling on him “ It’s got me help!” He called out struggling with the cryo.

Artorias was having none of that as her and Venom moved towards the two as she bellowed “ Not happening!” As she swung her tail slamming it into

Riots side Chasing the red cryo, To stumble and

hiss out in pain.

But Bumblebee had made it back to Them which meant that the three could defend themselves, a trip to the lake turned into a lesson of being stronger then your opponent and the three were successful in holding the blood thirsty carnivores off.

“Leave it Reaper, let’s find something easier” Riot

Groaned getting to his feet and limping off with Reaper glaring at the small

Herbivore Trio

Which was met with Venom letting out an angry stomp and Bellow “ and don’t come back!” She said before watching the two disappear.

“Thanks guys, I think we should listen to Artorias and head back” Bumblebee said as he looked at the wound on his leg with Venom nodding in agreement it was enough adventuring for her and running into predators wasn’t on her list of things to do.

With one final nods the trio headed back with Artorias in the back making sure Reaper and Riot didn’t return for round two.
