News traveled fast across the island as the talk of a new species of dinosaurs who could be seen planting a new kind of plant, and some of the dinosaurs who already called the island home weren’t too keen on the newcomers' arrival and what they brought with them. Oviraptors are what they were called and most seemed skittish as some could be seen but were quick to run off when approached.

“We need to catch one, we have been so close I can feel it in my jaws” a bright red cryo hissed from his jaws as they had been on look out for any Oviraptor they could find or come across. The small pack had joined forces temporarily in search of the Oviraptors in hope to catch some but it wasn’t going as planned.

“Where did these things even come from, and shut up Bloodmaw you always say we are close and we aren’t” a much larger cryo who had his crest chipped growled and snapped at Bloodmaw which Bulrush just ignored as the two bickered behind him.

“They aren’t too hard to catch, they are just fast and being a bit stern with them seemed to work, very skittish creatures” Bulrush said looking back at Bloodmaw and Trespasser as they stopped hearing the sound of footsteps ahead of them.

Up ahead a small oviraptor was following the pathway that the small cryo pack was traveling on and it seemed like it was lost as Lahna talked to herself unaware of Bulrush standing in front of her, she spotted brown scales and blue eyes. Something was different Bulrush noticed as this Oviraptor had spines on its back which wasn’t like the one he had run into before.

“Look there is one right there! I told you we were close” BloodMaw hissed as he stepped up joining Bulrush who watched as Lahna kept walking forwards still unaware of what she was walking into. Trespasser sighed as he pulled the two aside to be hidden from the Oviraptor and growled “We jump on it when it passes us, got it?” he said, watching the herbivore closely as she stopped to see the footprints on the ground left by the cryo’s.

“Oh no.. what’s this from” she honked to herself looking around for any sign of movement , she had avoided anything for a while now and this was the first time she had spotted footprints from other dinosaurs. Shaking the feeling she continued on jumping over the footprints not wanting to stick around, but was poor. Lahna was about to learn the hard way of the new area she was in and how some dinosaurs weren’t welcoming like others.

Bulrush watched as Trespasser was getting ready to go after the Oviraptor along with Bloodmaw who was licking his jaws, they were close and it should be easy to catch one as it was small and unaware of where they were.

With a quick dash Bulrush, Bloodmaw and Trepasser burst out of their hiding claws at the ready as Lahna let out a panicked honk as she jumped up seeing the three cryo’s come out of hiding as she froze, fear crawling up her scales as the spines on her back raised. She was trapped and surrounded by the small pack.

‘Don’t try and run, we will catch you Oviraptor” Bloodmaw hissed as he walked around sniffing the ground taking in her scent which felt odd and unfamiliar, which had Lahna back up almost into Trespasser who snapped at her as he wasn’t sure of the new comers and what they were capable of.

“Oh don’t mind them, they are all bite” Bulrush said as he narrowed his eyes at Lahna who was frozen with fear causing Bulrush to smile and let out a laugh “Now tell me where did you come from and you won’t get hurt” he added before waiting for an answer from the herbivore.

The oviraptor nodded as she gulped and began to speak “We.. we came from below andd.. Those plants are harmless” she said, watching Bloodmaw and Trespasser circle her, making her nervous that this wasn’t how she wanted to meet other dinosaurs. 

The three nodded at her story which made sense but they were still using the intimidation tactic as Lahna could be lying and telling them something entirely different of her origin and the others that came with her.

“I swear I am telling the truth, Just don’t eat me! I really don’t taste good” She honked watching Bloodmaw get close and lick his jaws. Afterwhile and more of the story Bulrush nodded and sighed “Well you are nicer then some of your kind and freezing isn’t going to get you far on this island, but don’t think we won’t hurt you” he added before looking at Trespasser and Bloodmaw who nodded at his remark.

“You and your kind steer clear of me, ya hear” Trespasser hissed as he stood still watching the oviraptor back up and flinch at his words, “I don’t trust newcomers and those plants are concerning” he added before shoving Bloodmaw out of the way as he was over hearing blabbing from Lahna.

“Yeah watch yourself Oviraptor, don’t wanna run into us again” Bloodmaw said as he shook his head from the shove he got from Trespasser, before he followed leaving only Bulrush who watched his packmates head off to find more Oviraptors to question and intimidate.

“Thanks for the story, but like I said I'd watch your back” Bulrush said leaning close to Lahna who closed her eyes and nodded. With the harsh confrontation Bulrush joined his packmates looking back at the Oviraptor who hadn’t moved until she saw them walk far enough.

“That was way to close, and how mean” she mumbled to herself before deciding maybe it was a good idea to head off and avoid this area and to not run into the cryo pack anymore as their attitudes seemed hostile and intimidating which she was not a fan of, but least the three got some more information and were learning more and more about the Oviraptors.
