Bulrush,Mocker and Tumbler were out enjoying the weather that had been nice throughout the week as the talk of a new dinosaur being spotted had the small pack curious with Bulrush in the lead as Mocker and Tumbler weren’t too keen to join but decided to anyway. As they had been out they hadn’t seen anything and if they did the Oviraptor wouldn't stick around long before they were instantly gone again.

“These things are so skittish Bulrush , how do we even get close enough to one” Mocker said shaking his feathers catching up to Bulrush who led the pack and was keen on getting to know the new species even if they had to be intimidating to get close to one.

“We just have to find one Mocker and it takes patience can’t you be more like Tumbler.. Quiet” Bulrush said as he rolled his eyes before stopping as he spotted footprints in the ground that  seemed to belong to the oviraptor. As the two stopped Tumbler caught up and smiled “See look we are close to one we just have to track it” he said before looking ahead seeing more.

The pack was now on the track of an Oviraptor and with each step they found themselves finding more clues it was only a matter of time before the group would stumble on their target.

Ahead of the group a black scaled Oviraptor was digging in a small patch that contained bones and other dead matter with him leaning down to grab the white bones in his claws before bringing them close to his face to inspect them and then tossing them aside. Nocturne was still getting the bearings of the island and wasn’t aware he was being stalked as he had avoided most dinosaurs so far but that was about to change, as he was too stuck on finding bones to notice his surroundings.

The three stopped behind a rock as a white bone went flying and hit Mocker in the crest causing the feathered cryo to hiss and growl “Hey what the hell was that” he said looking at the bone on the ground as Bulrush and Tumbler laughed.

“It’s flying bones now?” Tumbler said as he looked around before sticking his head up past the rock spotting Nocturne as he ducked again “Shh I see one, it’s digging I think we found your culprit Mocker” the pale cryo said as he watched Mocker rub his crest.

“Okay stop messing around we Can’t be nice with this thing or we won’t catch it” Bulrush said growling “Follow me you two” he said crouching slowly towards Nocturne who still wasn’t aware he was being stalked, Mocker and Tumbler following behind Bulrush as they got ready to catch the oviraptor who was inspecting a bone before going to turn around and was met with three faces of jaws.

“NOW get it!” Bulrush said as he lunged forwards trying to tackle Nocturne who quickly dodged and was met with Mocker who hissed “ You threw that stupid bone at me” before he lunged forwards but was met with a flurry of claw swipes as Nocturne pecked him in the head as he went down to the ground.

Tumbler was left to face off Nocturne who squawked and hissed but it seemed the Oviraptor was ready to turn and run as he dodged Tumbler as well who almost tackled it but missed due to it being super fast. Bulrush was quickly after it as Mocker and Tumbler joined in the stand off now turned into a chase.

“Why did we have to pick the most aggressive one!” Mocker called out as he matched the speed of Nocturne who jumped over logs and other debris but the three were quick to follow as Nocturne did his best to lose the three but it wasn’t working.

Nocturne spotted black scales and pale ones that coated his hands, along with having a skull esk marking on his crest which made the Oviraptor come off as intimidating but that didn’t stop the pack from going after him, if they wanted any info they had to catch the crazy thing.

“Oh screw this! Move Mocker” Tumbler hissed as he put all of his might into running and matched Nocturne’s speed dodging the various pecking attacks before slamming into the side of the Oviraptor as the two tumbled which caused Nocturne to trip and fall onto his side, finally they stopped him from running. Bulrush slowed to a walk followed by Mocker who growled at Nocturne who hissed underneath the weight of Tumbler.

“OK OK  you caught me” Nocturne honked as he looked up at the three and sighed, he was doing such a good job avoiding everything but he had been caught finally and it wasn’t the nicest way to meet, it was definitely intimidating being chased by the small pack and not the most welcoming.

“Hey yeah let's talk about the bone you threw at me and what the hell are you” Mocker hissed looking down at Nocturne, “Start talking you funky looking chicken” he added letting out a laugh. As Mocker and Tumbler laughed Bulrush approached letting out a growl “Hey don’t be mean, don’t mind the harsh approach it was the only way we were going to get close” the much older cryo said as he leaned down nodding so Tumbler would let the Oviraptor up.

“Tell us about, your kind I would like to learn and maybe we won’t eat you” he added sitting down watching Nocturne dust himself off as he nodded “Fine I will tell you about me and the others” he honked before the small group talked over about the coming of Oviraptors and the origin of Nocturne, the poor thing was intimidated and wasn’t a fan of the approach but maybe learning about the variety of dinosaurs on the island would be smart to avoid more intimidating first meetings,

Bulrush, Mocker and Tumbler listened intently happy with finally being able to meet the odd herbivore but this one seemed different as his interest in bones had them questioning.
