Crossing Paths ( Age-up for : Fireworks & Eternus )- Vampyrowo & Lil Monster

It was dark and night had fallen really quick, quicker than normal with most of the herds turning in for the night to avoid the predators who lurked in the dark waiting for the right moment to pounce unsuspecting prey who had a much harder time seeing during the night. But being young meant dinosaurs who never experienced the dangers that lurked around meant that being out during the night would be a tough lesson to learn.

Close to the field a large styracosaurus herd lay resting as the spot they had picked over the years never failed them but one young styracosaurus was shifting as long claws poked him in the side causing him to shake awake. It was Eternus and it seemed like a familiar face poked near him, it being one of his best friends he had made during their travels.

“Come on lets go explore, you don’t wanna sleep the night away Eternus” the much larger figure who was Fireworks and grown into his long claws and vibrant feathers, and he was up to no good wanting to explore but not without Eternus who grumbled before getting up and walking away slowly as he followed Fireworks who was quick to wander off into the tree line.

“Where are we even going, are you sure this is safe? It’s dark Fireworks” Eternus said looking back at the herd but decided to follow the theri who was determined to go exploring regardless of how dark it was, so the two were off slowly losing sight of the herd. Little did they know wandering off would be a mistake but for now they were fine as watchful eyes and jaws stalked them from a distance waiting for the perfect moment to strike the young herbivores.

A pale white face with deep red eyes watched from the bushes and shortly after a red scaled face joined him, it was G.R.I.M and Ghostface, two large cryo’s who lived for the hunt at night and Eternus and Fireworks were easy targets for the two blood hungry predators it was only a matter of time before the four would clash in a heated fight of life and death.

As Eternus and Fireworks walked down a pathway between the tree lines the two laughed and chased one another but stuck close as it was dark and the two were not used to navigating the darkness like the older dinosaurs were but that didn’t stop the two young herbivores from exploring. 

“Wow it really is hard to see in the dark, the elders were right” Fireworks said as he stopped seeing Eternus had stopped looking behind them “What’s the matter? Did you see something” he added before walking back towards the sty who was frozen due to hearing footsteps that were following them.

“I think I heard something behind us, did you hear that?” Eternus said as he squinted towards the darkness behind them, “Maybe I am just hearing stuff” he said snorting as he walked towards Fireworks who was also looking around for the sound but couldn’t pinpoint it. 

“Well let’s continue” Fireworks said as he turned his head but noticed red eyes glowing in front of him causing his feathers to raise and become on edge without his doing, danger and fear crept up as he stepped backwards “Uhh Eternus I am not seeing that am I” he stuttered. 

Eternus felt the same feeling as one set of eyes turned into two, Ghostface and G.R.I.M had made their appearance to the two herbivores and a standoff was now starting as the two stuck closer together.

“P.. p..predator, What do we do” Eternus said as he stuck behind Fireworks who was stunned with fear but had his claws out stepping forwards with the movement of the two predators making movement forwards towards them as they let out growls and hisses.

“Well look what we have here G.R.I.M, two young herbivores who don’t know the dangers of the dark” Ghostface said as he made his way towards Eternus but was met with a quick snort towards the cryo, they were on the defense now and needed to watch every movement. The much larger cryo growled and let out a laugh as he also moved closer towards Firework who flared out his claws in front before stepping backwards. 

“Sta..y stay back” Fireworks said before sticking close to Eternus who snorted as Ghostface had gotten a bit too close and was met with a uppercut to the bottom jaw but he shook it off letting out a hiss. It was a dance of crossing paths with death and the two young herbivores seemed to be holding their ground against the predators even in the dark but hitting one of them caused G.R.I.M to try and launch a attack on them but he quickly backed off as Fireworks swung his claws at the cryo who decided maybe getting slashed wasn’t a good idea.

After a while the stand off wasn’t going anywhere and Eternus stood strong with Fireworks covering his backside and every attempt to attack was blocked or met with a defensive stance from Eternus and Fireworks.

“Let's find something else Ghostface, the herd will be here any moment when they notice these two are gone” G.R.I.M hissed before sneering at Fireworks who stepped forwards and swiped his claws in a fury before screeching, crossing paths with these two predators sure taught the two exploring herbivores that maybe going out at night wasn’t the best idea.

“Yeah Scram! You sharp teeth, go find something else to hunt” Eternus added before mock charging but not to far past Fireworks, and with a final stand off the two cryos decided it was time to leave the two.

Watching the two wander off into the dark, it became quiet as Fireworks and Eternus let out a celebratory honk and screech “Wow I thought I was going to lose my feathers, we should get back I don’t think I like exploring the dark and crossing paths with monsters” he said which Eternus gave a quick nod in agreement. 

“Good Idea let's get back before we get into more trouble” Eternus said the two quickly making their way back to the herd to avoid anymore trouble.
